Treasures: Recently, my boys and I participated in an Easter Egg hunt. My oldest was so excited to have found the golden egg. Sometimes it amazes me that you need to look to children to understand some of the fundamental truths in life -- if something is precious to you, hold it close.

Anticipation: Another throw-back. This is one of my favorite pics of my then 4 and 2 year old boys. It is amazing how a picture can capture the essence of personality - even (or perhaps especially) in children. My older son, with the big brown eyes, often has a far-away look. I can't help but wonder what he is thinking. My younger son is a spit-fire. I know exactly what he is thinking -- "Now, what trouble can I get into, next...?"

Anticipation - this just seemed like the right theme for the current state of my life...
